Voyager was on it’s maiden voyage as I recall, therefore it was the bleeding edge of state-of-the-art. I think it was also the first ship with the living neural network. Plus I think it was said somewhere that Voyager is quite a bit smaller than the Enterprise.

Given all the shit this ship went through, Star Fleet should be jailing the desinger’s of every other ship built in the same time frame.
What? The Enterprise D was destroyed because it crashed into a planet? Wasn’t a problem for Voyager.

IIRC, 1701-D was destroyed by a warp core breach, which caused the saucer section to violently de-orbit.
all of which happened while a woman was driving, of course.
