Naw, I think Ford is just prone to that. The best part of my 94 F150 doing the same thing was that was how I found my E-brake also gave out— I had to wait for a nice pedestrian passerby to chock my tire with a rock so I could get out of the cab and not have to stand on the brakes for fifteen minutes.
It was also quite the easiest repair that I ever had to do on a vehicle.
