    IG-100 Magna Guard droids, to be exact. In case you didn’t know, the staves they use were designed mostly to be on par with the trademark lightsaber, only less impressive. Initial designs didn’t feature the glowing portion at the end; instead, the staff would “slide open”, revealing a glowing segment in the middle, which would be used to parry lightsaber blades.

    I was not aware of that. I just know that they always give the jedi one hell of a fight when they show up.

    which is good, because the jedi are super humans in the current cartoon
