You’re right, you should have kept the Aston Martin.
Corvette is far superior to children, you poor misguided fool.
Such a mix of emotions… Excitement for ANYONE who has had the opportunity to actually DRIVE a DB6 wars with the bitterest envy that I can only drool appreciatively over the thought and shared despair that you would ever have to let something like that go… Therefore I do the only thing I can… I salute you sir! And your impeccable taste in automobiles..
Technically not mine… We got it when I was 15 (1985), brought it in on a rollback and got it running after a few days. After going through the brakes and carbs it was road-worthy. My dad must have been crazy because I was driving it before I got my license.
As far as I can remember it was fun to drive, but also a chore. Dad had it up to around 120 once, but as an inexperienced driver I didn’t do anything crazy. I took it on a date once, but the girl was NOT impressed as she has expected to go in my car (Supra at the time)
As a side note the car was originally imported by the owner of Jack Daniels distillery.
Have other pictures if interested.
