Corporation taxes a tricky problem. If corporations keeps costs the same and pay the taxes out of their profits, then that’s equivalent to an income tax on the shareholders. That sounds like an ok plan until you realize that everyone who has a retirement plan is a corporate shareholder.
OTOH, the more likely scenario is that corporations just raise the price of their goods and services, which means the burden of the tax will just be passed onto the consumer.
So there’s really no good way to tax corporations without hurting citizens.
The Fair Tax would be the single largest transfer of power from the hands of the politicians to the people of the U.S. ever. Because of the immense power entrenched interests (who control media sources) and politicians derive from the tax code this will never happen unless the voters demand this to the point that the politician’s jobs are threatened. I don’t care if you are republican, democrat or otherwise. If you care about your country do some research about the fair tax.
I’m sorry, did I miss something? I thought you said: “Tax Rates of the World”. I only see American (US) tax rates. Did I miss the US taking over the world or something?
Of course, a special police force will be needed to stop anyone who looks poor, check their ID to see if they’re on public assistance and make them turn their pockets out to show that they aren’t carrying any money. The fine for carrying money will be, of course, double the money you have.
Since you are now in debt to the state, you will be incarcerated until you can pay the fine, which of course you can’t pay because you are incarcerated. Homeless problem solved!
I’d rather we had a federal sales tax for non essential items. It would be easier to enforce, keep the IRS from harassing the average citizen, and would bring in money from all the people working illegally (cash under the table, drug dealers, etc).
Something is wrong with the world if Corporate Tax is going down.
Wait wait wait. Payroll tax is going up? What is that about?

Yeah corporation dont pay taxes except as a cost of goods. Imagine you could go to your employer and increase your income to cover your taxes.
Yep, our tax code sucks. Abolish it and enact the Fair Tax! Problem solved.

The rest of the world doesn’t matter.
U.S. tax law, in its majesty, forbids rich and poor alike from paying high taxes.
Did you guys hear about republicans wanting to forbid poor people from having money?

Because that makes so much sense.

Another art work ! Bravo !
Now could we see the real numbers used for this so we can all have a good laugh ?
