There’s going to be a huge backlash over this. Palin is toast, along with some Republican support. The Neo-Cons have officially gone too far. It’s the chance you take when you invite the public to assassinate your rivals.
You can’t be serious. Obvious troll is obvious. Inviting the public to assassinate rivals? Try using logic and reason, instead of just raw emotional hysteria when you listen to the blatherings of one Olbermann. You’ve never heard anyone use the term ‘political crosshairs’? Pretty sure some democrats have used such vitriolic rhetoric, as well. The blame for this belongs squarely in the hand of the nutcase that pulled the trigger.
Really, Beck? The progressives are using art as propaganda? Because the conservatives have never used everything they can get their mitts on as propaganda…
All of these are ridiculous stretches. Get realistic people.
Given the caduceus has (erroneously) been used by Americans as a symbol of medicine and health since 1902, I think superimposing a caduceus above an Obama logo is a far cry from the German eagle holding a swastika.
It probably was, as the full quote described – “And if you go and take a look at this, you will find that the Obama health care logo is damn close to a Nazi swastika logo. I’m going to show you people watching on the Dittocam this, and there you are. The middle frame is the Obama health care logo. At the bottom is an official Nazi logo, eagle and everything, spread wings, or bird with spread wings.”
But face it, the Obamacare logo is a caduceus, the staff carried by Hermes in Greek mythology. It was used as a symbol of medicine and medical practitioners for centuries before the Nazis existed. To associate it with Nazi iconology is either disingenuous or idiotic.
Plus, what good would it do the Democrats to incorporate a Nazi logo into their health care program? To send a secret signal to some nonagenarian Nazi war criminal escapee in the mountains of Argentina that it’s OK to come out and get free healthcare?
Limbaugh is stretching his argument beyond breaking, as usual.
And the socialist line below? Boy did you miss the point. They were only socialist in one facet of economic practice. The government mandated zero employment for the “Volk” i.e. the white Germans, and the government directed the economy.
From that point forward, they were a fascist state. Fascism is and always has been and always will be a right wing political system.
Don’t worry, I enjoyed it anyway. The “Nazi = socialist” remarks everywhere are so amusing. You’d think republicans really believe every extreme ideology is based on liberal ideals, and that their party is the only one incapable of becoming extreme.
ahh, my bad. didn’t realize there was much difference between what you are going to shoot and what you are aiming at.
but if you actually look at a target sheet you will often find one that looks like what the OP posted. and you will find what I posted. its the same thing.
either way, people need to start focusing on fixing not pointing. Stop focusing on what divides the right and left and work on bringing the two together.

ALL ISOLATED INCIDENTS. THE GOP ECHO CHAMBER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH INCITING THESE ACTS OF PATRIOTISM.

Oh, and the health care logo looking like a swastika? In what universe?
No, look it’s got a circle on it! It’s totally like a swastika!
they weren’t talking about the swastika :

I’m sure the quote says “(…)the logo is damn close to a Nazi swastika logo (…)”

I still think it’s hysterical that people think that the Nazis were left-wing…
Weren’t they explicitly anti-communist?
They came to power as socialists.
Apparently Obama is a Nazi, a communist and wanting a muslim theocracy. Three things that all would try to beat the shit out of each other.
Dunno why that could be… MAYBE CAUSE THEY WERE?
And the socialist line below? Boy did you miss the point. They were only socialist in one facet of economic practice. The government mandated zero employment for the “Volk” i.e. the white Germans, and the government directed the economy.

Fuck, I thought you wrote right wing. I’m too fucking tired. Good night.

I observe American politics like one big comedy show.
“Sarah Palin’s list has a gun sight over our district. They have to realize there are consequences to that.” Gabrielle Giffords, Nov 2010

Ahhh, something with wings and a circle under it.
The similarity is only there if you’re actively trying to find a similarity.
I’m surprised that the Republicans aren’t ranting that Obamacare is satanic because there are snakes in the logo.
Or that they’re anti-christian because they’re using pagan symbols.
Like Democrates have never used a political target map..
O wait!

There’s a clear difference between a target and a gunsight.
