    Yes, only in capitalism can a man own nice shoes and a young boy hope to own them some day, knowing that a good brain and hard work will take him to very nice places.

    If it was socialism, neither would have nice shoes and they’ll both be sitting on the street waiting for the government to come and give them nice shoes, which would never happen because the government would be too busy shoveling money into their own pockets to care about anyone else.

    If it was communism, neither would have nice shoes, and they’d be busy throwing rocks at the US embassy.

    You’re right, the Allies were doing a great job against Germany and Japan before the US got involved, and afterward, everybody wanted move to the Soviet Union.
