    Eschalon: Book 1 is slightly more awesome. It has graphics similar to RPG games from the mid-90’s, but the playability of Dwarf Fortress. And they just came out with Eschalon: Book 2.

    I checked out Eschalon…Dwarf Fortress isn’t an RPG. So no the two don’t have similar playability.

    Dwarf Fortress is about building an epic fortress, there is an RPG mode but it sucks the big one. When people talk about Dwarf Fortress, 99% of the time they are talking about fortress mode.
