I’ve always wondered why they do this. There are a few places in town (not all) that print bottom to top. From what I understand, we (in the US, Europe, etc…) all read left->right and top->bottom. It just looks wrong and is difficult to comprehend and is distracting. I guess I’m not getting the automatic understanding when I read differently than the way I was taught.

It’s meant to be read as you’re driving. If it was printed top to bottom, you’d run over the bottom line before you could read it.
This.
You drive a lot faster than you can read if it was printed like that.
It’s meant to be read while driving fast.
Derp. We all get that. It doesn’t work. People in America read left to right and top to bottom. End of story.
It works fine more me because I can use my brain.
*for me* FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUU
Of course we can read it, point being that it is not the “natural” way we read.
Question their logic, do you? hmmmm!
Well the words printed nearest to you would appear first while driving. Sounds like sound logic to me.
Seems perfectly logical to me too. On the road it’s only usually 1 line of text anyway.
I read it just like the Star Wars intros. If you’re too short-sighted to see the first line in the distance, you shouldn’t be driving.
