I was putting off a wordpress upgrade, maybe that’ll fix things, or maybe it’ll just fuck shit up more.

Tiki, it is a tad worrying when users are the ones that see messages like “Your database might be publicly visible, we suggest you upgrade to the latest WordPress version” (or something like it).
Worry less about the plugins and more about stability, then iron out the bugs.

I saw the same thing Dreth did about a week ago, but haven`t since.
Site`s been bad for me for about a week. Won`t load. Slow loading. Will load in one browser but not another. Will load when I`m not signed in, but not when I am. Then later that day, loads perfect.
Things look better as of now, tho. I can access MCS+ again, but “I do not have authorized permission to view” my submission page.
I was wrong.
When I click on a thread in MCS+ I get this:
Error 404 – Content NonFoundable
Is nonfoundable a word?
It’s dictionaryable.
the ‘working in one browswer but not the other’ in a nut shell:
MCS caches posts for people that are not logged in, so all the server has to do is load a very light html file, no processing required. If you’re logged in, you do not see this cached file, so the processor has to do stuff. If it’s busy doing other stuff, then it’ll tell you to go get stuffed when you ask for a page.

It happens, I have been getting a LOT of Internal Server Error 500 & 503 when trying to access the site. I figured it was my shitty connection. But in retrospect it is probably all Casemods fault 😉
those are both server errors and are 100% the servers fault, so if anyone else sees those…blame the shitty server MCS is on

ostermiller.org/bookmarklets/cache.html is actually more useful than anything else, especially the google cache one. I use it on a daily basis for other sites that have been farked or slashdotted.

wordpress balance plugins tiki has?
I haven’t really run into any balancing plugins, just plugins for caching.
I’m caching user information, widgets and full pages.
Maybe that’s why I keep having to login. Maybe that’s a good thing. 🙂
