    the woman wearing the blue shorts and pink top would not be allowed outside in Iraq wearing only that.

    Depends on what part of the Country.
    You’d be surprised to see a few areas “westernized” with women dressing more casually.

    During my deployment there, the only place a woman would be allowed that kind of casual dress for women would be the green zone. And that zone was more taken care of than the area in this picture. Even the Kurds wouldn’t allow women to wear shorts and a t-shirt.

    IF I had to bet money, that is not a chick, but a fat kid. We had people wearin gay pink shirts all over our sector.

    Also, Iraq as dozens of different license plates, so the license plates of the world thing is kind of dicey at best

    Mostly yes.
    A lot of the more developed areas have cables lines, and internet lines running as well.
    But 95% of that rat nest of lines is electrical.

    Most of the power is sporadic at best.
    I was in Samarra the first time I deployed, and the locals would have power for about 15 – 20 minutes once a day.
