I read somewhere on the internet that Chuck Norris is his own father, so I guess this guy worships Chuck Norris and grew the beard to homage to his deity.
Hell doesn’t exist (Eccl 9:5)
Christ himself stated not everyone would love him. One of the marks of Christianity is the persecution for his name. (John 15:17-20)
God isn’t part of a trinity (John 14:28-31)
Children. 99% of you haters are simple children with no real grasp of what it is you despise so very, very much. Just rate me down and don’t bother replying to me, i’m not coming back to this gutter of ignorance.
That’s an interesting idea, but its not supported by anything in the Bible or any mainstream Christian doctrine. Actually, it sounds like you’re borrowing an idea from Stephen Hawking and replacing “big bang” with “god”.
The big bang is on our side of creation. The big bang includes space and time. The big bang had a beginning.
As far as mainstream doctrine or being supported by the bible, what about phrases such as “Alpha and Omega” or “beginning and the end”? I Am that I am, etc…
1. So the other 160 or so references to hell, or lakes of fire and eternal torment don’t matter? Of course, by this verse, it also refutes the existence of a heaven as well.
2. Quite fair, otherwise free will doesn’t work and the rapture would be quite boring if nobody got left behind for the shitty part, but the dad is saying that god wants everybody to love him, not that everyone will.
3. I don’t think that the father, son or the spook exist, but those verses aren’t much of a proof that there isn’t a trinity, just that the Jesus part isn’t clued in to the big plan. The trinity is kind of a central concept for most of christendom, so I’m interested in seeing what apologetics you have to support a non-trinitarian mythos.
“Hell doesn’t exist (Eccl 9:5)”
That passage doesn’t mean what you think it means. It’s not talking about heaven or hell. It’s talking about how The Bible shows that the dead know nothing, and even their very thoughts perish when they die. In other words, all mental and physical processes cease when an individual dies.
“One of the marks of Christianity is the persecution for his name. John 15:17-20. ”
You’re reading things between the lines that aren’t there. In this case, Jesus was saying to his disciples that they will be persecuted just as he was. This has nothing to do with Christians thousands of years later (in fact, if you look at most of the “first world” countries, you’ll notice that Christianity played/plays a deciding roll in it’s history and culture. Hardly the persecution you seem to be hinting at.)
“God isn’t part of a trinity (John 14:28-31)”
Ah, the old trinity debate. I’ll not get too in depth, except to point out that most theological scholars believe that the concept of a trinity was brought about by man in the centuries after Christs death. But saying that there is no trinity has the same problems as saying that there is a trinity: There is no clear answer either way.
And just one observation before I go. Calling people names and getting irate at someone’s questioning of the bible (Free will, which Christians believe we have), is a very unchristian thing to do.
Or, as my mother used to say, “If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
I wish you a good day, sir.
Ah, The Bible. A book in which the words contained within can be translated and warped to mean anything, to anyone. Evidence from The Bible in support of an argument can be refuted with evidence against it and both come from the same source. If God is real, he really likes fucking with people.
Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. He came to Jesus at night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do these signs that you are doing unless God is with him.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”
Nicodemus said to him, “How can a person once grown old be born again? Surely he cannot reenter his mother’s womb and be born again, can he?”
Jesus answered, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit. What is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I told you, ‘You must be born from above.’ The wind 4 blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Nicodemus answered and said to him, “How can this happen?”
Jesus answered and said to him, “You are the teacher of Israel and you do not understand this? Amen, amen, I say to you, we speak of what we know and we testify to what we have seen, but you people do not accept our testimony. If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things? No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up 5 the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.
After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the region of Judea, where he spent some time with them baptizing. John was also baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was an abundance of water there, and people came to be baptized, for John had not yet been imprisoned.
Now a dispute arose between the disciples of John and a Jew about ceremonial washings. So they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, the one who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you testified, here he is baptizing and everyone is coming to him.”
John answered and said, “No one can receive anything except what has been given him from heaven. You yourselves can testify that I said (that) I am not the Messiah, but that I was sent before him. The one who has the bride is the bridegroom; the best man, who stands and listens for him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice. So this joy of mine has been made complete. He must increase; I must decrease.”
The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things. But the one who comes from heaven (is above all). He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony.
Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy. For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God. He does not ration his gift of the Spirit. The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.
um… its all make believe. why get so upset? its all made up. why quote a made-up book to prove that a made-up piece of satire is wrong?
its like children arguing over the existence of santa claus.
I long for the day that can someone can prove to me how you can have a “just” god and a “merciful god” at the same time… another interesting thing I wonder about is they call it “faith” because it is not proven, other wise it would be called “fact”, it seems like most justification for religious people is because you cant disprove it… but no one can disprove a belief, if i say RA-MEN is my flying spagetti god you have no proof its not true i can justify it by saying your not looking in the right place… but whatever if you want to believe in something without factual evidance because it make you feel good i can deal with that, but on the other hand if smoking pot make me feel good than accept that and vote yes the next time legalization for marijuana comes around on a ballot–THANKS
I read somewhere on the internet that Chuck Norris is his own father, so I guess this guy worships Chuck Norris and grew the beard to homage to his deity.
Dude, this is a perfect summation of the Bible. Cliff’s Notes, eat your heart out.
He is his own son.
God – Jesus

Oversimplifying things is as stupid as Christianity.
I dare you to point out a single flaw or lie in this picture.

its utter bullshit mate.
What reason is there to believe beyond having faith?
If faith is your only reason to believe, then why have faith?
Cuz George Michaels said to?
(…or Fred Durst after him, if you don’t recall it the first time around…..)
Something can’t come from nothing.
Its the paradox of creation. Eventually something even had to light the fuse on the big bang.
Christianity doesn’t answer that paradox, since it doesn’t answer the question of what created God. Except by the logical fallacy of special pleading.
if god created everything, that includes space and time. if god created time, god CANNOT have a beginning
That’s an interesting idea, but its not supported by anything in the Bible or any mainstream Christian doctrine. Actually, it sounds like you’re borrowing an idea from Stephen Hawking and replacing “big bang” with “god”.

This is the problem with half wits.
They’ll think they’re smarter than a 2 thousand year old religion.
They have a very low grade understanding of why religion exists.

Also, just for everyone’s information, I’m agnostic.
The Church sorted this all out well over a millennium ago. You must be one a them weirdo heretics.
I don’t know why that seems so complicated or flawed.
Ethereal being = exists beyond the laws that govern human beings.
Only a fucking idiot would try and apply the logic of the universe to whatever created it lol.
Why not make believe?
MAGNUS IS A GOD
YOU PEOPLE SHOULD LISTEN TO HIM
This why nate will get to fuck you all in one not too big collective asshole in the afterlife.
So when it happens no you’ll know why.
humanity in general but even more so catholics, seem to have daddy issues.

tl;dr
You will get much farther here if you leave the scripture out when talking about god.
Not that anyone has ever changed their mind about religion from reading an Internet post.
I named my cat after a magician. When all else fails, try the God-spell 😉
Muh brain! I cannot think that deep!
