At the 1980 Olympics in Moscow, when the very senile Brezhnev was still head of the Communist Party, he decides to give a speech at the opening ceremony. So he frailly crawls up to the podium, speech in hand, and begins reading. “Oooh,” he says. “Oooh. Oooh. Ooooh!” Finally an aide runs up to him and says, “Comrade General Secretary! Those are just the Olympic rings!”
