I was more surprised about where LSD wound up on the list. If you’re trying to convince people that weed is OK, saying, “It’s only a bit more dangerous than acid” probably isn’t the best way to go about things.
Yeah, I think a last estimate of the LD50 for LSD was at about 2000 micrograms per kilogram, resulting in exactly 0 known overdoses. Though there have been many cases of serious injury and few deaths caused by irresponsible use, but that goes with any chemical that alters behavior from acid to caffeine. Though being around assholes while having a few cups of coffee is less likely to be problematic than having a few hits of acid with those same people.
And to follow up on the ecstasy weirdness. There are known overdose levels (though it is once again questionable how many have actually hit those levels), it causes a great deal of stress on the heart, and is generally one of those drugs that many would recommend having at least one persona available in case any medical problems do come up.
its not addictive.
maybe it is to people with addictive personalities. but ive done it ALOT during the school year, and this summer, id say ive done it 4 times. its fun, and great, but no it does not have addictive elements at all.
I just want to add the Schedule I in US is not because “most dangerous”. The definition of Schedule I drug was “not considered legitimate for medical use”.
PS: I have no beef on either side (if you want to smoke it, smoke it). But arguing whether cannabis was dangerous or not is meaningless in this case.
Good point about the schedules having little do do with actual danger of a drug. After all, morphine is highly dangerous but used because of the medical applications.
On an interesting note, some of the first test cases for Marijuana and PTSD are about to start hitting courts, it will be very interesting to see the results as it would create a very large population that would qualify for medical use. By extension we then have the possibility of all persons with PTSD or trauma symptoms as having a legitimate medical claim to the drug. It will be a very interesting legal test to watch.
Not so sure about the placement of Ecstasy. It is a quite powerful drug that does not play well with a plethora of other medications.

Its rather interesting, LSD has a safe range of effect from 25 mg to up to 5000 mg, and there are no reports of overdose.
But the placement of ecstasy was weird.

Dealers messing with the purity of E/LSD to sell more doesn’t help either.
Yeah well, that’s the thing about facts and reason, both do not lend themselves well to propaganda.
Shitstrm
its not addictive and it doesn’t kill
It’s addictive and it doesn’t kill…
That doesn’t include the dumb things you might do while on it though.
