Why is anyone meiontning Joss Whedon? Yes, he had a run on Runaways, but the issues he wrote sucked. I think Joss is a damn good writer, but he didn’t have a handle on the characters.Whedon undid most of Chase’s character development, decided that Xavin is female [because that’s the form Xavin takes when (s)he gets angry?], all the characters in past New York were underwritten, and the time travel story was essentially pointless save Nico getting a new Staff of One and Chase reacquiring his fistigons.Expectations were high for Joss Whedon, but instead of proving that the series could survive after Vaughn, he marked the beginning of the series decline.Though his run was better the Moore’s. An evil disc jockey creating a giant made of Zombies, that should have been awesome instead of meh.
