I mean a note like this is cool if your still in college and dont have any kids. But fast forward 10 years add kids, and a message like this seems bossy or nagging.
As much as I hate to admit it, I see your point. Woman leaves it, bossy; man leaves it, chauvinistic. This nullified by the non-married or those married without children (except for those very, very few exceptions.)
That kind of killer argument, nothing gets better when you add 10 years and kids, certainly nothing in the same ballpark as sex.
