Kyokushin Karate is the only Karate worth studying. They punch trees and in tournaments the only rule is not to punch to the face. Gnarly conditioning.
I disagree. It depends on who you train with. The first martial art I studied was Tae Kwon Do, and the conditioning was pretty tough. Our instructor was old school. Everything was full contact. We didn’t punch trees, but did a lot of board and brick breaking. Among other things. Like him making us lie on the ground while he came round and punched us repeatedly wherever he thought we needed it. Mostly in the gut. I have to say it worked very well though. Sometimes I miss those days.
Sometimes.
its a real soft wood, most likely pine, and hes breaking it with the grain….my 2 yr old nephew could break it like that…if hes such a badass, why not put some effort into it, and break a brick
Chuck only let them think that out of respect for their hard work and dedication. In reality, Chuck simply put them in a virtual world in his head, and let them play in his playground. In the real world, Bruce lee/campbell could have been crushed by a mere blink of an eye had Chuck so desired…
I’m just saying.
And Just FYI, Chuck doesn’t break bricks with his fists. When he shaves his beard, the clippings cut through bricks like butter as they fall.
7th dan kyokushin karate (yes it was hard to count)

I find concrete easier, wood is less predictable.
