They don’t get grades like they do in Romania. What you mean is hopefully he got an A+.
I also like your school system in regards to at what time of the day kids usually have to go. Here you get grades from 1 to 5, 1 being the best and we had to go to school from 8am to 13pm. I’m not sure if it changes for high school in Romania but I remember when I was little all the Romanian kids praised school and thought our system was crazy.
1 ro 10, 10 being the best. And mostly everyone starts at 8 am. I think On 2nd to 5th grade I went to school at 11 or 12, but that was with my school.
Mines from 70 to 100
95 being the lowest and 100 being the highest.

Middle School and High School start 1st period at 7:32am and ends at 2:37pm. Elementary starts and end an hour later…this is in the county I live in. Every county, city and state has their own rules and the Federal gov’t has minimum standards that they all need to meet.
France was weird, school was Monday, Tuesday, off Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, half-day on Saturday. I’m not sure what time we started or ended, but it was a looooooong day, enough to include a siesta every day.

Most courses are 3-5 credits, most colleges use 1 credit = 1 hour of class time a week.
Generally need 64 credits for a AA or AS and 128 credits for a BA/BS.
