I think it’s reasonable.
I mean, I don’t like my women submissive, but then again, I usually don’t like them Christian either.

You must understand the bible and not twist it in such ways. Submissiveness is a choice and a gift from God. It helps make a happy home. As a former feminist and atheist now turned to a life of God, I have seen the effects of such a life and they are truly beautiful. God also tell you to give all that you CAN give, not to kill yourself in the process. What good would that do? The bible is here to give us a better life, not to give Satan and his followers all they want. Please, turn away from evil and ask God for understanding. Wisdom and understanding is one of the greatest gifts one can receive. Especially when you are given the eyes, heart, and mind to UNDERSTAND the scriptures. Peace be with you all and may God forgive you. I love you all, as does He.

Submissive women ARE happy women. They help build up their home, rather than tearing it down. A man who loves you isn’t going to keep you locked in a cage or doing any sort of things you hate. Being submissive simply allows a household to run more smoothly, creating a very happy home and family life.
I’m not saying all women should be quieter but Christian women are more than welcome to shut the fuck up.

When I was a teen, my parents made me go to a Promisekeepers rally. While there was your standard Christianity stuff most people expect to hear, there was also a lot of “rule over your wife as a man of God” that I think caught people off-guard.

Silly me, I thought Timothy 2:11-12 was about while in worship, not everyday life. I guess when you just read one or two verses and ignore the rest you come to some conclusions.
Well, if you take the passage as a whole, and the epistles of Paul as a whole, the frequent theme is that women probably can’t go to heaven, probably shouldn’t be allowed to pray, and that they drag men away from god, and should wear veils.

Am I leaving out the bit afterwards that says “When not worshippin, thou shalt dress all slutty and be a hooker, yea praise unto the lord with thy goopy vag”? No, I don’t think so. It pretty much is still a “women are made to be subjugate to men, now shut up and make some babies” kind of message.
