    Actually sir, I believe that she slept with the Nazis while living under their occupation. After being liberated, the townsfolk would shave the heads of the women who slept with the enemy, and drove them out of town.

    Wynn,you are correct.I saw this photo in a Time-Life series when I was a kid.Considering what they did to the men that collaborated these women got off easy.

    The women were having their heads shaved by the French after their liberation for being girlfriends of the Nazi occupiers. Some of them may have actually loved the German boyfriends but the women were seen as collaborators and as being essentially whores because they received better treatment in terms of food, chocolate, etc.
