In comedy, SOMEONE has to be the straight-man, and that was Arnold. Anywho, I loved this cartoon. dieA really spells it out – this was a great cartoon… unlike all the drek they normally to feed kids.
I fucking adore Hey Arnold, it’s perfection. It might not be perfect as a whole, but it’s made up of many perfect bits. It’s got so much character, similar to cartoons like Ren & Stimpy, Chicken & Cow, the old Tom & Jerry cartoons and so on. The fact that everyone in Hey Arnold is so hideous or crazy is the main reason why it works. Except that one girl Arnold thinks he is in love with, who doesn’t know he exists, she’s the only pretty one I think. I remember that one episode where him and his best friend walked past her and he said “hello” to her. So as they continue walking, he keeps repeating the “hello” because he’s so insecure about how he said it. I’ve done the same thing so many times! Ah pure love.

I actually quite like the first one.
I love the third one
I approve of Helga-related anything.
No wonder Arnold didn’t like her…she’s hideous.
Arnold did like her subconsciously. He was to reciprocate her feelings in The Jungle Movie, still-to-come.
this show pissed me off. i dont know why.
Perhaps it was Arnold’s lame sense of fashion? (the shirt tails under a sweater vest made for 50 year old college professors)

Football head didn’t have a lot going for him either.

So because you have next to none social skills and everyone looks like 50’s movie monster rejects you find this adorable.
Carmela del Barrio, you never cease to amaze.
Precisely.
The first one is really good.
