    Not a chance in hell that this works.

    However, if you separately freeze dried the components and then assembled them… THAT would stay crunchy.

    ack – No, it does work. You just can’t over do it with the peanut butter. There’s a fine line between just enough and too much. This is EXACTLY how I make 99% of my peanut butter sandwiches except I don’t toast the center slice of bread. I’m way too impatient to wait for the toaster to finish so I don’t even try.

    Dreth – My wife is absolutely disgusted by peanut butter, too. I could eat it right of the jar and like it is going out of style. It’s probably my favorite food.

    NO NO NO NO NO!!!! The toasted bread (just slightly toasted) goes on the outside, with the untoasted bread in the middle.

    I tried this for breakfast today. It was good, the crunch slice in the middle is like jamming a hot dog full of salt and vinegar chips.
