Didn’t you know? There are no Starks left (none of the good ones anyway). There’s Jon Snow, but he’s not even really a Stark. And the mountain that rides is awesome, pure win. But the dwarf is better.
The most impressive thing Martin has done is turn Jaime Lannister into anything other than the most repulsive, unlikable character in the whole series.
Yeah, I thought they did that too early. The war turned against the North too quickly. I like how the Lannister’s have done a good job of winning on the battlefield and then self destructing once they held the realm, but it has made it harder to go on. Apparently Martin is having as hard a time as anyone else in figuring out how things should go forward.
Dwarf is often sympathetic. Jon Snow is sympathetic. Jaime went from evil bastard to troubled soul. All the characters under 12 or so (except Arya, yeesh) pretty much are since they’ve had the situation thrust on them. Hard to think of many other adult characters who haven’t made it hard to like them.
The whole war of four kings or whatever is really a sideshow, though. The real battle is going to be when Daenerys gets to Westeros, and whatever is going on north of The Wall starts to break through.
WE are the Knights who say NI!
We are now the Knights who say…”Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-PTANG. Zoom-Boing. Z’nourrwringmm.
That was brilliant
Bring us . . . .
A SHRUBBERY!!
C-C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER
Everytime you masturbate, George R. R. Martin kills a Stark. Please, think of the Starks.
I lol’d, but seriously there wouldn’t be any Starks left if that were true.
Problem there is, the damn Starks don’t STAY dead.

Nah, the mountain that rides is an awesome handle, but the character was really…(SPOILER!)I cheered at his death.
Now “The Laughing Storm” that was a good handle and a good guy.

The most impressive thing Martin *could* do is turn a damn book in on time.
or atleast within 3 years of its appropriate time
deuce that comment was pure win. I really did LOL.
I do very much like the dwarf.
I was really sad when they killed the King of the North. that was hard.

Have you heard about the HBO series casting? Sean Bean as Ned Stark and Mark Addy as Robert Baratheon. Peter Dinklage signed on as Tyrion a while ago.
