Jacaranda mimosifolia, one of my fave trees. Tons of ’em used in SoCal landscaping. Some people don’t like ’em because the fallen flowers stain concrete and asphalt but that shower of purple is always rad.
The car looks like an Aussie XA-XC falcon, the tree looks like every third tree in Australia. The number plate doesn’t look familiar though, maybe somewhere over the East or out in the sticks

I was just going to say that it seems like a Gualanday (Jacaranda caucana),
a common tree here in Colombia.
