This wasn’t terrible. In fact, I really enjoyed it. Just a warning, it’s more of a ‘tender’ movie. The fantasy parts are a little silly – although pretty cinematic.
She does, although it wasn’t necessarily because she was a good actor. In the special features, there is a ‘making of’ documentary, and the director (Tarsem) took a pretty unique approach to working with a child actor. They basically lied to her the whole time. She had no idea that Lee Pace could walk, in fact almost no one on the set knew he could walk or that his name was Lee Pace, they all just called him Roy and had crew members wheel him around in a wheelchair. Then, after all the hospital scenes were shot, they revealed to her that he could walk.

Good movie, the little girl does an amazing job of acting.
