Gypsies, eh? I was born in the US and always had this image of gypsies being fun with sexy women and happy dancing guys. Then I moved to Europe. The Germans quickly told me I was an idiot and gypsies only steal your stuff.
A few weeks later a politician at the European Commission (from Romania or Slovakia) was asked about the Roma as a people/ethnicity, and he said “there are no Roma, only thieving gypsies”.
Hell, I live on the border to Bayern and some villages here are known as Sigeuner villages and have a bad name.
