Agreed. An outstanding episode, maybe my favorite from Season One. Although the directing in Batman: TAS was always amazing, this episode had phenomenal directing. Also, it was a nice touch to give Bruce a pulp-hero vigilante for a boyhood idol, it made the whole decision to wear a mask and cape to avenge his parents make a little more sense.

@...thelastmadrox: That was always the case wasnt it, only it was Zorro?
pretty much yeah. and then part of his training he learned that “criminals are a cowardly and superstitious lot” who would fear something they couldn’t understand.
@...Skulltimo: True, but a gritty, pulp-hero was a welcome update to Zorro in my mind, especially in the world that Paul Dini created, it seemed to make more sense.
Fantastic episode, Adam West taking the role of a retired TV superhero who no one remembers or cares for.
One of the many things that made Batman:TAS so wonderful.
