No doubt the Americans have arrived to take prisoners, strip them naked, stack them like cordwood, and dribble water on their faces. Oh, the humanity! Maybe they’ll let dogs scare them too!

Sometimes, I really wonder if it was all worth what my grandfathers paid for it.
A war in which 72,941,900 people died, of which 25 million were soldiers. 23 million alone (civs & soldiers) died from Nazis killing Soviet troops, and another 20 million Chinese killed from Japanese troops. United States ground troops lost 30,000 more troops than the British in the short time we were there. This was truly our last good war.
I’ll talk a lot of shit about Vietnam & Iraq, but we did good this time.
@...SumoSnipe: Of course, we’ll screw that up by setting up our own camps and torturing people, all approved by those that never actually went to war. Brilliant!

The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching one by one,
The little one stops to suck his thumb
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ants go marching two by two, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching two by two, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching two by two,
The little one stops to tie his shoe
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ants go marching three by three, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching three by three, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching three by three,
The little one stops to climb a tree
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ants go marching four by four, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching four by four, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching four by four,
The little one stops to shut the door
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ants go marching five by five, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching five by five, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching five by five,
The little one stops to take a dive
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ants go marching six by six, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching six by six, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching six by six,
The little one stops to pick up sticks
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ants go marching seven by seven, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching seven by seven, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching seven by seven,
The little one stops to pray to heaven
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ants go marching eight by eight, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching eight by eight, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching eight by eight,
The little one stops to shut the gate
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ants go marching nine by nine, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching nine by nine, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching nine by nine,
The little one stops to check the time
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ants go marching ten by ten, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching ten by ten, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching ten by ten,
The little one stops to say “THE END”
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
And once every four years, an army marches through Paris. Though I have to say that the 1940 edition of this looks kinda better. Just look at their collars. They could have had the decency to close the top buttons. Blah blah blah, meh meh meh.
Over there, over there,
Send the word, send the word over there
That the Yanks are coming, the Yanks are coming
The drum’s rum-tumming everywhere
So prepare, say a prayer,
Send the word, send the word to beware
We’ll be over, we’re coming over
And we won’t come back till it’s over, over there
He was just a rookie trouper and he surely shook with fright,
He checked all his equipment and made sure his pack was tight,
He had to sit and listen to those awful engines roar….
You Ain’t gonna hump no more.
Just a little cadence to brighten up your morning.

Is that the Arc de Triumph in the background?
“Lafayette, we are here.” (Wrong war, though.)
@...Paul_Is_Drunk:
*cracks open a Guinness* BRILLIANT!
@...MikeBabaguh:
Yes, that is L’Arc de Triomph.
