@...Blondie:
I’m not sure, but I feel like you’re quoting something from somewhere.
However, there is actual proof of glaciers melting in several different areas of the world. This cn be contributed to climate change, but I’m not so sure we can blame it on ourselves.
Note: Not knowing if its our fault, or having knowledge that it is in fact not our fault is not a proper excuse for continuing to treat our planet like shit.
I hear that global warming has nothing to do with humans, and everything to do with the sun being at its peak output, which happens every few thousand years or so.
Yet the government keeps pushing carbon dioxide issues, and coming out with new tax laws. Taxes on the flatulations of your farm animals if you own them, taxes on the emissions released from your chimney, taxes on gasoline specifically for carbon emissions…
I wonder, if the sun being in a peak cycle is true, why then would our governments try and implement more taxes like this, if only to rape us for even more money? Just one mans thoughts on the subject.
The reason so many scientists and researchers are screaming about the sky falling is because they want more grant money. The reality of the situation is secondary to their need for cashhhhhhh. What a surprise, people are greedy.
BTW, been to the Antarctic more than once. It’s an amazing and beautiful place.
@nyokki: No not all. But you have to admit, for people that are supposed to remain open minded, speculative, constantly questioning and reviewing data, a large chunk of the scientific community are pretty quick to stick their fingers in their ears and scream, “I’m not listening”, when anyone suggests that maybe mankind isn’t nearly as culpable as they’d like us to believe.
@tardmods: what the fuck are you going on about this time? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; shut your whore mouth.
I want to go to Antarctica real bad. Beautiful Desolation at it’s quintessence. But it’s not really the sort of place that lets me use my usual “fill a backpack the night before my flight and figure shit out when I get there” travel technique.

In other news, I am yet to be convinced as to why exactly this global-warming thing I keep hearing about is such a problem. I just don’t get it… OMFG the weather is changing! OH NOES! Seriously, WTF? the weather is always changing, why is this like, some kind of horrible revelation? Oh god, the climate is going to be…different…oh jesus fuck me now, however will…I…ADAPT…to…change…it’s not in the capacity of humans to do such things!
Gimmie a break. Gimmie a break. Break me off a piece of that JESUS CHRIST!
@...sylvanish: It is a bit ridiculous, isn’t it?
It seems that while the vast majority of scientists say the Global Climate Change is occurring and that it is, at least in part, being caused by us, that few of them agree on what exactly we can expect from GCC or what, if anything, can or should be done to successfully offset it.
Proof that global warming does not exist.
Does anyone else want to go ice skating on that?
Kinda looks like someone already did.
Ya but what did it look like twenty years ago?
The same?
What about over to the right? Any changes over there?
Shit come work with me. We need these saps to buy into this shit or I’m screwed.

I wonder what the dinosaurs drove when they caused the ice age?
