@...zipfer: just to correct it for you since my world is filled with Rastafarian tendencies. your comment is correct, the new age Jamaicans(ofcourse not all) are homophobic and some dancehall artist promote it in their songs but being a Rastafarian is being to accept everyone no colour on the skin. the main passage, motto of a Rastafarian is to bring “One Love” love all, no matter the race or skin or status. Trying to bring each other together. Real Rastafarian’s spread only love and respect to everyone. you can easily see fake Rastafarian’s by hypocrisy one time they sing about spreading love, while later he come out with a song about gunshot fi dead (killing people). Think like Christians in a sense. you have to those real committed christians who bring love and help and those fake christians that sends everyone to hell, wants to touch little boys, close minded so called christians. i hope you understand it 🙂
@...ColombianMonkey: @...zipfer: Is it just Rasta though? I remember a discussion, about prop 8 in California, that included homophobia in the black community being higher than any other group. I don’t know if it’s true, but they (sorry, I can’t remember who ‘they’ were) seemed to think it true.
@...nyokki: Rasta is just a shortened word for Rastafarian. Jamaicans are the name for the type of people who live and born in jamaica. Rastafarian is a religion, it’s a religious representing name. some of the jamaicans are homophobic and allot of people are getting the facts wrong about being jamaican and being a rasta is the same.
~
also to clear up something up. rasta hair is just a word to indicate the hair rastafarians mostly have like that. the correct word for the type of hair is locks and not rasta hair. just for general clearing and up not directing to you.
is there anything else you would like to know?
@...Paul Kersey: a while ago? this 2 words was created since i was around 10 so. because since we have allot people taking shit the wrong way we say no homo. but we don’t use that as a excuse to proceed with gay intension’s like in your video.
Da way o’ pat
Aren’t Jamaicans insanely homophobic and stuff?
In b4 it’s not just about the pat
Praise Jah!
I can read “Let’s smoke this shit” from the face in first pic.

@nyokki:
Hell yeah homophobia is high in our community. Hence the term “no homo” was created a while ago to defend people’s sexual orientation.
