I’ve been on the beta for a couple of months and it runs very well and is pretty fun to play assuming you have a fast internet connection. Finally a game that doesn’t depend on your hardware to play, that potential could get me back into PC gaming…and its FREE!
I tried this, I was not impressed with the “new and improved” HUD. I thought it sucked. Almost as shitty as the Windows 7 beta.
@...Drew:
Well, that seems to indicate that its good, as that’s what most people I’ve spoken to about W7 have said.
I’ve enjoyed playing pretty much every Quake game. Especially Q4 (I think) where you could get Snoopy skins. That shit was the balls.
@RSIxidor: Drew doesn’t know what he’s talking about..the little baby gave up on Win 7 64x Beta after one hour for his gimped graphics card not working. perhaps a little Forum.Net searching would have solved his problem, that’s what great about Win7 support, I’ve had no problems whatsoever and any that pop up are quickly fixed and its amazing how quickly developers are switching over to support it (its like they knew all along it was coming)
yeah, and he’s never even tried this Quake Live, he is a newfag wannabe.
But seriously, think everything you loved about Quake 3 Arena, now in your browser running some pretty serious graphics quality. Quake Live will set the pace for things to come…
I’ve been beta testing Quake Live. Very similar to Quake 3 and running smooth through firefox. Though Fortress Forever is still my game of choice.
I’m in the beta, but I couldn’t get it to work. I think they were just having server problems the night I tried. I’ll try again soon, it looks very promising.
I must nao try this “quake live” of which you speak..
How free?
