@nyokki:
I never lost power, but the whole county where my mom lives lost it. She’s been staying with me for almost two weeks now. I haven’t spent more than three days under the same roof as my mom since 1996. I’m kind of afraid that my wife might kill us all if she has to stay much longer.
@...kurrgo: You have my sympathy and your wife has my empathy. Seriously though, I hope the damage to your mom’s house isn’t too bad. Ice can be devastating. I’d lost power for 6 days a few years ago because of ice. I’m in a very rural area and lose power often, so I now have a generator. I can take almost anything but not being able to flush a toilet is too much to ask of me.
I just lived through this mess here in Louisville KY, and a lot of places look like a warzone with downed trees. Luckily I only lost power for about 28 hours, but there are a couple of places where they are just getting power restored.
I loved how everything looked like it was made of glass, but other than that it was a complete bitch to deal with.
The first pic looks like frozen blood.
@...multi_masked: Not that I am the expert on frozen blood, but you may need to adjust your monitor.
I had that happen in my town around 3-5 years ago. So 2005-ish.
Really Pretty but super dangerous.
Wow.
@...kurrgo: Are you one of the thousands of people still w/out electricity from these storms?
@...nyokki:
Given that Kurrgo uploaded these pics…
@...Sticky: lol
@...Sticky: I did it, on my laptop at my SIL’s when I lost power.
@...nyokki:
WELL THROW A MONKEY WRENCH INTO MY SARCASM, WHY DON’T YOU? >=(
@...Sticky: ¶OMG! I’m so sorry. I never meant to throw wrenches w/ monkeys at you.¶

Your sarcasm is duly noted.
@...Sticky: Lol. Some still haven’t figured it out 70 comments later.
