I think I’m starting to understand the appeal of superhero comics… correct me if i’m off here, I’m just thinking out loud and trying to empathize…
Is it like, the juxtaposition of ridiculously goofy characters in serious and dramatic situations creates a sort of abstract for the basic escapism of mytho-phantasy with the silly costumes and bright colors warping the senseless violence into something surreal and metaphorical? …and this medium acts like a lens for simple stories and archetypes to be refracted through?
@...Tardex: Cloak. I only know this because I recognized him from Spiderman and Venom: Maximum Carnage. Best game ever made with a red cartridge (I did have to look up the game to remember his name).
