Wow something we agree on.
It’s even worse when you are a parent. I get such a weird mixture of emotions whenever i hear about the fucked up shit people do to their babies. It makes me want to cry yet at the same time scream in anger and just beat the ever living fuck out of people who do things like that. They don’t deserve to die although. Death is too easy, instead they deserve to suffer for their actions. They deserve to suffer every second of their life because that is all their child will have known if they weren’t rescued from the dumpster. Pure fucking terror. I think the sign was spray painted on there by a local church, but still it reminds me that people still do fucked up things like that. I think the worst thing i could ever do to my son is yell at him, and maybe if he was older ( like 10 or something) i would smack him.
It’s not that bad people.. I was once a dumpster baby, now look at me. It’s made me the criminal I am today.
Seriously though, babies deserve better. Like their own designated bin or something.

Let me play devil’s advocate for a moment here and raise the question: at what age does a human lose it’s -OMFG how dare you harm it- sacredness?
Why is a baby’s life more valuable than an adults? If anything, a baby hasn’t formed many attachments yet and has less to lose, other than a quantity of time, which is an illusion anyway.

If it’s an eye for an eye you are advocating then why not hunt down and shoot everyone who ends another human’s life?
Don’t get me wrong, throwing a baby in a dumpster is abhorrent to me too, but you aren’t considering the hell someone’s life is already in / damned to, that they would even consider such an action in the first place. You don’t seem to realize how much it takes to make someone betray every natural instinct in the body and do something like this.
Hunting them down and shooting them is in no way shape or form solving the problem. That is arbitrary murder in and of itself and JUST as loathsome.
People do horrid things to each other. Always have, and probably always will. But your rage solves nothing. Morph your anger into compassion and you’ll help fix the problem instead of just increasing your aneurysm risk.
This is a symptom of a much larger disease.
But my greater point is that life is sacred at every age, or it isn’t at all. It’s a survival mechanism you are feeling and nature will kill you just as coldly at any age.

Bullshit, if someone’s “already living in hell” and expressing that by killing babies, let them go there directly with a bullet to the head or the electric chair. Boo-hoo those poor baby killers. Being compassionate changes fuck-all. I’d say most people *are* compassionate…but there will always be sick fucks out there who do sick shit like this, and they don’t warrant a compassionate community to understand them. Compassion exists, but not everyone deserves it. Sometimes you forfeit your right to it.
The answer to the question, “at what age does a human lose it’s [sic] OMFG how dare you harm it sacredness” is never—but a baby can’t protect itself. It’s not about being human, it’s about vulnerability. The same is true of the elderly and people with mental health issues, et al.
As for hunting them down and shooting them, how about hunting them down, arresting and prosecuting them? That is the goal of law enforcement—and that *does* apply to anyone who commits murder, not just those who toss babies into dumpsters. It’s not a matter that they’ve been singled out in this example, but that they should be treated with the same justice as anyone else who would commit such a heinous crime.

My question is why people still dump a baby when nearly every major town and city here will take in a baby at firehouses, hospitals, police stations, no questions, no arrest. And while I may not like the Church, they at least still take in those left at their door.

But I must remind you, that you will never see this in a compassionate community. The cities that spawn this sort of shit are -not- compassionate communities at all. They cold gray jungles and all manner of insanity lurks in their depths. It is in those places that shite like this happens, those places where compassion didn’t exist to begin with that drove someone with an obvious mental problem to do this.
The vicious cycle of abuse is a syndrome that perpetuates itself. If you believe in evil, you cannot trace it back to a source other than God or the cold Universe. The monsters are victims too. God is the only one truly worthy of blame in these situations.
Everyone deserves compassion and forgiveness for their ‘sins’ or no one does.
dieA makes a very important point. It’s the flaw in our entire justice system. The police hunt and punish, but this in no way solves the problem that creates the bad people in the first place. The problem is a poison at the very roots.

I see what you are saying there and i agree with you in that it is horrible that someone even contemplates going to that point. But here is the thing; There is no good excuse in our nation to dump your baby in a trash can or trying to flush it down the toilet. This isn’t the 16th century where half of all births result in death for the child or mother. There is no longer a true need to choose for them a slow agonizing death by starvation or to end it quickly by snapping the neck or throwing it off a cliff. The united and most of europe has progressed past this barbaric practice of “disposing of the young.” If you have a child you can not keep you can leave it at a firehouse, police station, on someones doorstep, a hospital, a library, a rescue squad house,a restaurant, hell even next too a fucking crosswalk if you have too. If you live in a rural area you can call the police or even drive to a safe location and leave it there. Don’t have a license? well that’s fucking tough, it’s better to get pulled over for driving without a license than to kill your child. There is no reason anyone should feel pity for these people. More than likely they killed for the purpose of convenience instead of necccesity. If you leave it in a dumpster or kill it for whatever reason there is there are only one explanation. You have absolutely no value on human life in any form. Do these people deserve to be killed? No, they don’t, nobody truly deserves to die. Timothy McVeigh didn’t deserve to die and neither did Joseph Stalin. But they deserved punishment. Maybe af1 And these people who do these things deserve punishment be it at the hands of god or man.
But there is another thing. And i know this may sound contradictory to what i said, but i think everyone -including the most abhorrent- deserves a chance to show remorse for their actions. As much hate and anger these people fill me with i can’t help but feel sorry that such a thing should ever occcur in someones thought process, especially when there are more viable options.

I could have written adolph hitler a bunch of letters about how much compassion i have for him or how sorry i felt that he viewed the jews as animals and it wouldn’t have stopped him from building dachau or birkenau.

What’s really sick about this is that the parent(s) of the babies are the ones who are throwing them away. Not being a parent myself, I can’t understand how someone could have a baby then dump it like garbage. It’s just fucked up.
