I actually made this one for myself as a wallpaper. I know 800×600 sucks but I figured that stretching it wouldn’t screw it up, and I was right.
I traced most of it on PhotoshopCS with the famous Pen Tool and just pasted the MTV render logo. It really is a shame there aren’t decent sized pictures of these cartoon gods.
Without these idiots you wouldn’t have the absurd crude humor you have on cartoons nowadays, and if you did, it wouldn’t be as absurd/crude as it is today.
Simpsons may have been the first mature/sitcom cartoon, but these were the first ones to have filthy mouths and represent the idiocy (and beauty) that is the typical 14 year old dumbass.
I knew this cartoon was crap but it was still funny. I knew people IRL that were a lot like these guys (without having seen the cartoon) and that made it all the funnier. I didn’t watch it religiously but even now I occasionally will start laughing like one of them.
@...Dreth: I think Ren & Stimpy opened the door way for wacky and crude cartoons actually, not Beavis and Butthead.
But people don’t label them as repulsive anti-heroes of society that corrupt children’s minds because of the obscenely realistic behaviour of two teens.
This has been repeated by South Park, Family Guy, etc.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the red fat cat and chihuahua, but the only thing I can say they left a mark with was their exaggerated gross one-shot stills (like close-ups of pimples or hairy armpits).
@...Dreth: Just because people focus on Beavis & Butthead doesn’t make it the gateway cartoon. That’s like saying that because the average person names “Nine Inch Nails” when asked if they know what Industrial is, the Trent Reznor is the forefather of industrial. Common knowledge does not inspiration make.
I have no doubt that Beavis and Butthead has played their role (mostly in desensitizing the masses) but people who are really into cartoons (and hence likely to grow up and create them) would be more aware of Mike Judge’s other creations as well as Ren & Stimpy, etc.
@...Dreth: I’m going to assume that’s not a reference to the band “O U NO U”.
You just admitted that your basis of opinion is flawed. :p I’m basing my opinion on articles written about the various genres that have evolved since that time. I’m not a die hard fan of anything that I can think of.
huh huhhuh huhh huh you said thingie
I think the only show that has made me laugh more than this one is Family Guy.
@...outofocus: Fire Fire Fire!
this show makes bush look like einstein
“I AM THE GREAT CORNHOLIO…”
“i need tp for my bunghole…”
“ARE YOU THREATENING ME??!!”

@...Dreth: Awesome and I agree.
MTV has gone down hill big time. They were never better than when they actually played music videos and Beavis & Butthead.
Am I the only one that grew up with this series and thought it was complete shit?
Like it was nothing. My shit was more entertaining then this TV series, and that was only because it smelled weird and had nuts in it. sometimes.

Well it’s a matter of opinion, since I’m a die-hard fan, I’ll be biased. But I’ll say this…
NO U

*wanders off the ponder her lack of fan-ness*
Not even photographers?
And no no band reference.
