Are you serious? I haven’t met anyone yet who didn’t like it. I thought it was phenomenal. But I’m afraid of watching it a second time cause I might don’t find it that amazing anymore.
a certain mister minty madness doesn’t usually prefer the more complex movies. he sticks with “the dark knight” style movies that blow stuff up and have shallow themes.
This movie was amazing. Daniel Day-Lewis gave not just the performance of a lifetime but the performance of our lifetime.
Some people just can’t handle not having the A-typical 3 act structure. It’s just not a good film if Adam Sandler doesn’t fall down, shout, best his gaping character flaw and win the girl.
I’ve watched it three times now; liking it even more each time.
What goblin0 said, I wholeheartedly agree.
There were moments when Mr. Day-Lewis wasn’t even on screen and *still* managed to enthrall and dominate the scene with the sheer force of his character.
@...goblin0: Or heath ledger doing a killer job acting while christian bale fumbles like an idiot trying to match Ledger, and then one of the main characters dies forever being immortalized in the public conscious. So it ends up spawning thousands of facebook groups so “fans” can show their “appreciation” meanwhile it is just really a cheap and shallow way of saying ” HEY GUYS I LIKE GOOD ACTING CHECK OUT MY LOVE FOR THE NOW DEAD LEGEND HEATH LEDGER. ” Meanwhile they tend to ignore the other great great classic actors such as Peter Sellers or Clark Gable. Or the great modern Actors like Daniel Day Lewis (yeah the guy is a little crazy but damn he puts on a good show), Tommy Lee Jones, Edward Norton and YES even Leonardo Dicaprio could be considered a great(the man is very versatile).
I mean i could sit here and rattle off various no name actors but it would be stupid to do so since a lot of them don’t have a big enough library of films to properly gauge their abilities.
I agree with Lotuseater on the point about Heath Ledger, even though he was amazing, everyone is a little too obssessive. As for his list of great actors, I also agree, I used to hate Dicaprio purely on the basis that I was about 8 when Titanic came out and I just thought of him as another teen heartthrob. He has more than proven himself with a variety of serious roles.
Drainage! Drainage, Eli, you boy. Drained dry. I’m so sorry. Here, if you have a milkshake, and I have a milkshake, and I have a straw. There it is, that’s a straw, you see? You watching?. And my straw reaches acroooooooss the room, and starts to drink your milkshake… I… drink… your… milkshake!
this movie blew chunks.
It wasn’t good. At all.
Your picture is therefor robbed of most of it’s value.
Love – Me.
@...mintymadness: I DRINK YOUR MILK.

@...thatonejimguy: Jim you know me too well sir.
This movie was completely fucking pointless. There is supposed to be an arc in the plot.. not just some fucking brick wall 2 hours into the movie…
