@...CathyLong:
Isn’t that what they generally say about albinos? They also say about white tigers that they’re actually sick, not albino.
This peacock is very beautiful nevertheless. I wish I could have one of his feathers.
well albino is a lack of pigmentation in the skin, a melanoma deficiency which is why teh eyes are also pale or red. Just being “bleached” in the feather region is no different than say, a white hen or a dove. It has to do with feather color genetics and not a defficiency or danger of sunlight exposure. 🙂
his eyes ain’t red
Black and white film!
I assumed it was filtered/altered but what about the yellow tint BG? Freak of nature? Albino with ONLY eye pigment?
White peacocks are pretty common.

The Arctic CyberPeacock
I saw one of these guys in Jamaica. I have pictures somewhere.
We’ve got a bunch of these at the local zoo, where whole packs of them and their little baby pea-birds squak at you.
@...outofocus: On your cell phone? ;<)
@...nyokki: haha. I wish. I was in Jamaica years before I had a cellphone or there were digital cameras.
I have never seen such a big white cock!
Sorry… had to be done…
My grandparents have several of these, I find the colored ones prettier.
