I’d have to say Master Chief has the edge in this competition. He’s a military trained, biologically augmented guy who’s been trained from childhood to fight, both unarmed and armed, and has a suit that has a shield to go through before he actually begins taking damage.
Samus on the other hand, is a normal woman who gets her powers chiefly FROM her suit, rather than having the powers augmented BY her suit (such as MC). She also takes more damage (albeit has more life than MC does) and has to upgrade her suit as she goes, whereas MC’s is all prepackaged. Given that most of her weapons are energy based and MC’s shield is specifically designed to disperse energy (because the Covenant use plasma weapons)her weapons would also be at a disadvantage rather than MC’s fast bullet output.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Samus get most of her acrobatic ability from Chozo DNA and training. Look at Zero Suit Samus in Super Smash Bros Brawl. Anyway, I’m sure the fanfics are everywhere about this fight, and I’m sure it would be a good one. Just needed to add my geekyness and let everyone know that Samus is not just a normal woman in a power suit.
Also, she has the Varia suit. Universal protection, instead of just energy.
Also,Samus has more than just energy in her arsenal. I mean, even aside from all the beam upgrades you can get, she can carry a huge amount of missiles.
I’m going with Samus. She was genetically altered by the Chozo to withstand a harsh planet and its inhabitants, takes on massive beasts and soul sucking parasites, when fully equiped she is damn near invincible, not to mention unequiped she is still a formidable and stealthy bitch. I still view Master Chief as large and clunky.
Yea, this is the kind of argument that can go on forever. Also, the picture could have been better set up. You can’t see the Cheif’s gun, and just a whole other photographic stuff.
@suicydking:
As awesome as that video is, it’s not the Master Chief… Master Chief is “John” this is one of the other spartans. (The artist refers to them as the Master Chick)
Excellent concept, except that Samus only removes her helmet after a mission has been completed. While on the job, she remains as fully suited as she can. When she can’t, you almost never know where she is. She was raised by the Chozo to be the perfect force for good, genetically modified to increase her body’s durability, trained in many different martial arts, and taught by the best minds the Chozo had to offer. Her armor reacts to all forms of damage, healing her and repairing itself whenever possible. The only upgrade Samus needs to defeat John is a missile upgrade, and she is easily capable of collecting more energy for her suit than John possibly can.
John, on the other hand, was also raised to be the perfect soldier, in much the same way Samus was. Unlike her, however, his muscular structure is almost entirely artificial, meaning it is unable to heal itself after massive exertion. This means that after a massive battle, John needs to be sent in for repairs, much like a Formula One car that has been on the track for too long. He has an advantage of a massive array of weapons to choose from, though he can only carry two at a time. His suit is not reactive armor, but it does carry an energy shield which is able to totally block a limited amount of energy weapons fire. He also has an effectively endless supply line to keep him stocked, and has backup at almost all times.
Take into account all these factors, and you have a really close battle. It would be almost impossible to determine who would win in a fight, unless Nintendo and Microsoft got together and made a pure Metroid vs Halo two player game. At that point, the winner would be determined by the better player. Anyway, why would those two fight? They’re both powerful forces for good, couldn’t they work together? (A co-op game with those two would be just as awesome as a vs game)
That’s about all I have to say, so, goodbye.
I came.
I can almost taste the fanfics being written.
@Crystalkestrel: They’re probably gonna taste like jizz
@...Alpha Harrison:
As long as they don’t show his face. And they do show her vagoo. I mean, that is, if the fanfic is done in graphic art form.
She gonna get raped.
“…no, the suit never comes off.”
“So, how did you…?”
“There’s a hatch, and it pinches!!!”

…Yes, I know. I’m a total geek. 🙁

MC can carry, like, 6? I think?
Why not just watch and see?

And, for all you straight fellas out there:
TITS.

This Samus is from pixelninja.se
She also has pictures of her Metroid Zero suit on the site.
Is it just me, or is there something absolutely yummy about a Japanese/Swedish hybrid woman? D_D-d
Err, I meant the blue Metroid Prime Zero suit.
Or the Blue Zero suit from Metroid P… you know what, I don’t even care any more.
@...Halon50: Yes I believe yummy is the right word.
@...suicydking: Man… I love Oums work…
