Noble Indian Chief,
Bring us back your ways.
You Indians were so awesome,
In oh so many ways.
They all loved each other regardless of the tribe,
One Comanche needs a cup of sugar and the Blackfoot would oblige!
Compliments of an older, better, Family Guy episode.
@...windrider: Surprise, they’re also called American Indian.
I’m pretty sure you know how Columbus thought he discovered India and not America? Don’t you know anything.
I’ve never quite understood why you American guys call them “Native Americans”, to everyone else it’s not politically incorrect to just call them American Indians, which I’d guess they would be fine with.
It’s a bit like the whole thing about “African-Americans” which seems to be an American language label for anyone who’s black or mixed race. I will completely admit I don’t get it (not being American myself) why you don’t just refer to people by what they are. For example we don’t call black folks “African-English” as there’s no reason to suppose they all originate from Africa.
Just saying. And before anyone calls the racist card here or starts this into an argument, this is just my observation on the need to give politically correct labels to people who really don’t need them and no offence is intended.
It’s a freakin’ british dude wearing an Indian headdress. Or they are real indians, as evidenced by the pic of the Queen of Indianland on the wall behind him.
@...24601: Is it? I don’t know. It’s quite common to call them that in Europe.
@...Rocko: I agree, but I think it was mostly the black people in America, who started to call themselves African Americans.
I don’t see what’s racist about what you said.
In before Caio post.

I really like this picture. Never seen an Indian all dressed up like that. I wish I knew who he is
Native American. India is a different country.
Isn’t that legendary professional wrestler Wahoo McDaniel?

@die
Yes, but it’s fucking moronic to call them that. Not unlike calling a British black guy an African American.

“You think that shit at Wounded Knee was FUNNY?”
they should be called Native Americans, and if you can pick up on it, get tribe-specifics, like Navajoe, Sioux, etc
they were only called indians because the genius who called them that got the wrong country thinking he was in india
