I’m sure no one will believe me, so I don’t know why even I’m posting this, but: I took this picture.
It was almost exactly fifty-seven years ago. I was visiting my friend Hawkeye who was working at a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital somewhere north of the 38th Parallel. We went out for martinis where I met a girl everyone called “hotlips.” After dancing a bit, she told me her real name and there was a pause, like I should be impressed, and she said, “you know, from the OR?â€Â. And was I was like, “ZOMG WTF LOLZ!!1!†and she laughed. So we ended up going back to my friend’s tent, drank some more martinis, then he went back to his girlfriend’s tent, and well…
Anyway, I didn’t realize who she was until I got home and tried to look-up her number on-line, some fifty years later.
I think I’ve still got some picture on my old Nikon SLR. I’ll check when I get home.
Elohel.
heheh
Damn. had to take a real close look at this one, looked very similar to a pic of my uncle and his tank platoon(?) during the Korean war.
