Not at all. I’m saying it is dumb that the US hasn’t crossed an Apache attack chopper with an HH53 Jolly Green Giant. The A-10 is another so ugly its beautiful machine(to me). I meant flying Tank/Armored Personnel Carrier. A 2fer1 deal that the Hind is. We have flying tanks: Apache, Warthog. But they are lacking in extra seating and cargo space. The Sikorsky 60 series(Pave Low, Pave Hawk, Black Hawk, Sea Hawk, ect) can take some damage, but not like the Hind or Apache.
I don’t really see how aircraft can be “attractive” or not…maybe cars…
The stealth bomber is not “attractive” but it’s a multi-milliona dollar (or billion) machine…who the hell would try and make these look aesthetically pleasing?
I’ve been told helicopters of any sort are terribly expensive and inefficient. Especially heavy brutes like this, but their mobility is a necessity. That’s why the US isn’t in any rush to fork out dough for a new toy when the ones they got work just fine… usually. Chinook gunships are pretty wicked cool anyway and they can be loaded with more weaponry than the Hind, carry like 30 troops and are still pretty fast.

But it is always wiser to perfect the basic function before the trimmings.
But then, in contemplating beauty, I remember that there is beauty in all things and it only takes the right perspective to see it. Heeyuk.
I’m still sad the Comanche got canceled. Sure it was little more than an Apache with curves… but that’s why i loved it… and wanted a purple one… with neon green tiger stripes. I’d kill for that thing… and then I’d kill with that thing. (poachers mostly. and the Vatican, but i’d give them twenty minutes to vacate it first.)
Anyone who gets me one for x-mas, can come along for rides and have me as a sex slave (so long as I still had ample time to fly it and hunt bad guys.) But I’ll settle for a Little Bird.
