Growing up in NYC (w/ almost 0% chance of owning), this place felt like heaven when we 1st saw it. No matter the time of year the view is fantastic. The house was a bit of a fixer-upper, but nothing too bad. The previous owner neglected it, but there was nothing majorly wrong. Every year when we get our tax return we fix/upgrade another room. By the time we retire, it should be good to go. ;))
@...dieAntagonista: I don’t mind it most of the time since I grew up in a true scary place but it makes me mad how bad the littering is.
@...nyokki: Fixer uppers are great. My exhubby and I bought a house that had a lot of potential for fixing. It went from being a single story house to a two story house with a spiral stair case. It was surrounded by redwood trees in a valley… quite nice.
@...SumoSnipe: I came across a whole family of deer the other day. There had to be 15 of them. 1/2 of them ran across the road, the other 1/2 just moved down the road. As I came closer the ran a little further, never quite getting out of my way. It prolly took me 5 minutes to get 100 yards.
Phew, you live in such a beautiful place? Looks very peaceful.
I live practically in no man’s land, but it really doesn’t look nearly as good here.
*Pool shown at actual size*
@...dieAntagonista: Thanx, we love it here.
@...Malcrasternus: Lol, it feels really good on a hot day to cool down my left pinky in the pool.
But seriously though, you got a nice-looking place there. Mine isn’t always picture-perfect, but it has it’s moments, especially during the spring.
Niiiice.
I live in an area that is often described as “scary”… (it’s not scary).
Wow, that’s a very nice neighborhood… Love places where the treeline (or mountains) are a stones throw away…
@...dieAntagonista: I find I rather prefer to live in no mans land… 🙂
@...outofocus: Mmm I love scary places. Even pseudo scary.
@...Phyreblade: There definitely are advantages to living in a place like that.
Back yard like that..Lucky dog. As undeveloped as it looks, do you get the occasional deer wander through?
This reminds me of all the times I’ve driven through rural Missouri. Looks like an awesome place to live!
