    They are beautiful birds. Terrible ruckus they make in numbers; terrible and great all at once. They are common around here, and easily attracted to the garden; luckily only five or ten at a time. I love their crests – so expressive.

    I’ve owned a few of these as pets, and raised oodles of them. They’re some of the crackiest parrots ever for pets, but amusing none the less.

    My relatives have a bunch of parrots. This one was my favorite. Would always walk up my arm and try to eat my face.
