    It says “crab apple – dead tree – combined” in the tags. I’m assuming… a crab apple in a dead tree? Not that I have the slightest clue what a crab apple is. Looks kinda gross.

    My money is on it being a Puffball mushroom growing inside a rotting tree. On which someone crudely photoshopped a black pupil with a highlight dot to simulate an eye.
