In a way, it is. A poorly engineered, originally short lived structure built exclusively for a worlds fair, that requires more upkeep than the statue of liberty (another french architectural project that has far outlived its original design specifications). It has trouble with lighting, is uncomfortable to be on constantly (say, as staff), and the elevators work on a counterweight system, so you can only go up when another group wants to go down, and vice versa. I don’t deny the beauty (nor the quality of the photography in this case, wow), but when it comes to tempermental french mistresses, this one is up there.

Fantastic moody picture of the Eiffel Tower. Gustave Eiffel did a wondrous job on the Statue of Liberty too.
Nice, i cant tell if this is HDR, or produced.
And to think the French were going to tear it down, because it was an eyesore.
