They had some pumpkin liquir at safeway or w/e by my x’s studio, and it was like $2 a bottle on sale I think – the stuff smelled like tequila, and my first bad experience was with tequila, so whenever I smell the stuff, it makes me gag.
@...ActionBowman: Not bad =/= good. Drinkable is not my standard for beer, especially when I’m gonna pay extra for the seasonal stuff. I do like some flavored ales, mostly for cooking but there some good ones out there…it’s just that pumpkin isn’t one of them.
Actually, I don’t really like “flavored” beers that much. The only ones I’ve tried and liked are some of the lambics. Blue Moon does make a decent wheat beer, and I do like their Summer Ale.
“Certified Organic”
Sounds like it gonna taste like bong water drained through some hippies dreadlocks.

Shipyard’s Pumpkinhead drinks very nicely.
“Some things should not be made into a beer. I’ve yet to taste a pumpkin ale that was worth drinking.”
QFT
Probably tastes like yams.
Just because it’s fall doesn’t mean every fucking thing needs to taste like pumpkins.
I had to tell the asshats at Dunkins Donuts to shove their pumpkin muffins and their shitty egg-nog flavored coffee up their collective ass.
I had just ordered a couple donuts and a large regular coffee, there’s no point in trying to talk me into seasonal shit that tastes like ass.
Try Blue Moon’s Pumpkin ale, its not bad.

I’m about to try my hand at brewing a pumpkin porter. I’m hopeful for good results. I think a porter would be a better base for pumpkin flavor.
Anybody like cheladas
Pumpkin is good for pie. That’s it.
Fisherman’s Pumpkin Stout is pretty good. So is Southern Tier’s Imperial Pumpkin. Most others are garbage.
Weyerbacher’s Imperial Pumpkin Ale is win.
Do want.
