Well, after studying the architecture, uniforms, insignia, weapons, their faces/skin color, the sign in the background I’m going to say with 98% certainty that they are Japanese Special Forces circa 2004. Around early June, about 8-8:30 a.m., based on the height of the grass around the paving stones and their shadows.
Sorry I couldn’t be more exact with my estimate.
There’s no way that they’re Japanese. The second guy from the left, his hair appears to be blond.
Yeah I think it must be a European country. I don’t know about Romania though, they look well-fed.
The rifles are a FAL variant (Belgium) that should have been discontinued by the late 90’s. I do not believe it was ever used by China or Japan. Much of centrak Europe, Argentina, Malaysia, and Cambodia issued it.
The building facade, no parking sign, and bollards look European.
The guys face does not look Asian, but his eyes … maybe French.
The rifles are FAL variants. Pretty every non commie country in the world has used them. But the flash hider (the “stoll” flash suppressor) on the rifles are Austrian, which would make the rifles the STG58 version of the FAL. Not to sure if the STG 58 ever used a wooden stock though.
Looks like a British sign in the background.
Wooden stocks, I would say Romania or one of the stan’s.

@...garbledxmission: Geez, that the BEST you could do?
Looks like an honor guard to me
Argentina.
@...garbledxmission: almost- you forgot the crease in his pants- and the tourists’ backpack- BAM -China!

That’s why they are Special Forces, they are THAT good.
The photographer’s Romanian, so I’m guessing Romania.
No, he was on vacation in Japan and took these photos. He was assassinated soon after posting these shots on the interwubs.
Funny.. but wrong.

I would guess Wallonia (French Belgium) and NATO.
Nazi-Germany, 1945, 8:35am- the French are coming! GET THE KIDS!
Ok I think I got it. The tags for the photo say eurotrip2008, and then vienna2008.
Which means they’re from where I’m from.
They’re Austrian.
Man shame on me for not recognising it immediately.
Lower Asscracksylvania.
Hmm.. should have got that from the patch too

Soundz more like FAIL variants and they look like Zambese Nationals. (i’m color blind)
The first on the left is Erich Maria Remarque.
