You know, I am very skeptical person by nature. I do believe there are things that we as humans don’t understand and won’t be able to prove through science. However, it was my (mis)fortune to have seen one of these things one restless night. Scary shit.

This is what happens when you get down with the sickness.
No, the shadow person didn’t touch me. Long story short, couldn’t sleep, felt like someone was in my room(or at least coming and going), I closed my eyes to try and catch them, when I opened them it was by my bedside.
The experience happened that night around 1:30 am – just a few hours after a severe thunder and
lightening storm. I was walking south toward the lobby in the north hallway when I heard a noise from the
doorway to the cafeteria behind me. I walked back to the doorway and turned on the flash light to see
what the noise could have been. When I reached the doorway that enters the small hallway between the
big hall and the cafeteria, I flipped on my light and saw a black form of a human shadow walking toward
me; but it was looking out the windows to its right as it was walking.
In most instances, witnesses report seeing shadow people in the peripheral areas of their vision. This area of vision is linked to the areas of the brain that recognizes patterns, however it provides less detail to the brain than macular (center-forward) vision. This can lead to a condition known as pareidolia, in which the brain incorrectly interprets random patterns of light/shadow or texture as being familiar patterns such as faces and human forms.[9] The same condition can also be observed in macular vision in low light conditions, or when viewing a complex but random image. A common example would be perceiving a shadow, thrown by an item of furniture in a darkened room, as being a person.

ok, so it showed neither of the posts up, now it shows both. wtf
As much as this image reminds me of Disturbed, I woke up one night to use the bathroom and saw something of the this sort. I’ve never been supersticious but damn it freaked me out and I slept with a knife under my pillow for weeks until I was sure it was all in my head.
@...Ben1605: In the same vein as Tiki posts shit when he’s incapacitated, I was probably super-fucking tired from sleep deprivation when I submitted this.
And I don’t even know wtf I was actually trying to type. Lol.
Whether these things are a trick of peripheral vision, a delusion of a not quite woken mind, or something we can’t really track or understand, I still see them around from time to time. {Shudder}
This is what happens when you have sex out of wedlock.

This is what you see when you fail to take your medication properly.

When those shadow people or “Hat Man” are having a really scary night, they see me
I don’t what this is or what it is referring to, but I likes it.
Mr Dooves, you make it sound like pedofilia.

@...diabeetus: Ok, now I don’t like them so much. Wiki ruined it for me.

Ah, finally a pic of what terrified me throughout my childhood at night living in that house on the hill.

Thank god. . . I’m not the only one. Saw them when I was 5… gave me nightmares for years. No one believed me of course.
