Wow, thanks for the comments you guys, it makes me feel a lot less pathetic!
@... Namelis1 – hahaha, yeah, but i never spent more than $10 on a UMD, I always bought them on sale or used. I had always downloaded television episodes for the PSP and converted them, but never got into it with movies…
UMD’s are actually pretty fuckign awesome. The image quality ont he psp is alot better than most portable DVD players i’ve seen (if not all) and it’s smaller and moar compact. But constantine is shit on it, because the dialogue is just too fucking quiete. AND it’s a shit film. They’re generally decnelty priced, aswell.
Ok…yes, they are ALL alphabetized…but its more serious than that…as they are also broken into categories
starting with the top corner, the first rack is all original Xbox and PS2 titles. The second rack top row is “Duos”= movies that had parts 1 & 2, then triples, then quadruples along the same principle. one row on there are all music / sports related DVDs. at the very bottom of that rack are boxed sets. Then the next rack actually has a “Chick Flick / Romantic Comedy” section at the top, then some various boxed tv sets my wife likes, then my coveted Criterion Collection titles (i have 10) then all the stanley kubrick films. at the bottom are the UMDS.
Now, where the three racks are, starting with the first, the categories are: ACTION; SCI-FI/HORROR, the second rack is: DRAMA, all kevin smith movies at the bottom, the third rack is: COMEDY, with gamecube games at the bottom, then the two little black ones are kids movies for my son.
I know, a bit anal retentive, a bit OCD, but I love it, I can just sit in that room and pan my head around and basque in all the glory that if something happens and i’m in some I AM LEGEND scenario, i’ll have enough movies to last me about 3 years straight…
based on the fact they are organized, neat, and above all ALPHABETIZED , I’d say your wife has no solid reasoning (or none that I’d accept at least) to hate that room.
no, no prOn whatsoever up there, in fact, I don’t have one title on DVD! thats all on the computer, hehe
I have however thought of getting a film on Blu-Ray…you know, just to see how good the quality is ;-P
the funny thing is Token has dedicated a significant portion of his life and income to the point that the “collection” has become on the fetish level. I have seen this collection in real life and this pic doesnt do it justice.
