When I was younger (and now) I read Encyclopedia Britannica a lot, and I remember reading about voles. When I was nine, my dad and I had a conversation, and somehow the topic of voles came up. He didn’t believe there were such things; he assumed I was confusing moles somehow. So he bet me $25 that he was right… Imagine his surprise when he was wrong.
